Pork Chop Bento - Mindi's Kitchen

$8.95+Tax
This is another bento (lunchbox) meal from Mindi's Ktichen that had instantly become my new favorite takeout place.  The pork chop was breaded with five spice and garlic, deep fried and then stewed in a very tasty sauce.  There is a crispy deep-fried option without the stew process which I would like to try next time.  So far, I love the flavor and texture of the pork chop. I don't eat pork chop too often because I often find them stinky in a lot of restaurants.  But the pork chop prepared by Mindi's is very good. As usual, I like the accompanying mild broth, the yummy Taiwanese seasoned egg, fried tofu and whatever side veggies of the day that Mindi threw in. Today, I have the green beans, napa cabbage, bok choy, a slice Japanese turnip pickle ( I love this pickle even though I hate American style pickled cucumbers.)    For me, who isn't much a meat eater or heavy eater, a meal like this usually is split between lunch and dinner with some extra green salad from the salad bags purchased from the grocery stores and I've been feeling quite full the entire day with all these.  Of course, I have fresh fruits from the stores also, usually oranges and water melons.
